Following the reveal of the Entertainment Room, we’re proud to unveil a new sanctuary of luxury and ritual. An outdoor kitchen designed for cooking, entertaining and unwinding.
Owing to its colour, properties and sustainability we decided to use the wonderful material lava stone throughout this design. This gorgeous stone does not only elevate a surface but is a completely naturally reproducing source of stone. We used it in its raw form and with glazed finishes to create a harmonious visual variety.
The doors of the drinks cabinet were crafted using hand-picked, dried and pressed rubber tree leaves. We created a semi-translucent surface, safely secured in between two thin layers of glass giving a floral, organic feel to the cabinet. In this case the sustainable material adds to the elegance of the space.
A key consideration for our approach to sustainability is the durability and longevity of our kitchens. In order to protect the wood from the elements we used an oil to create a water repellent finish whilst keeping the surface “open” for a natural touch.
The black walnut used in this kitchen is FSC approved. At Lanserring sustainability is a consideration at every stage of the design process. We see how things can be done better whilst maintaining and even enhancing the aesthetic value of our kitchens.
